It’s that time of year—pencil cases are being packed, tiny backpacks are slung over shoulders, and the scent of new crayons is in the air. Whether it’s your little one’s first step into the classroom or their big transition from early learning to kindergarten, we know this season brings a mix of excitement (yay, routine!) and anxiety (how will they handle transitions?).

At Compassionate Care ABA, we’re more than ready to help your child—and your family—make the leap with confidence, calm, and celebration. 🍎✨

🏫 School Readiness, CCABA Style

Our center-based ABA program is built from the ground up to promote independence, communication, and readiness for the school world—all within our cozy, calming, and sensory-friendly therapeutic environment. But we don’t just teach skills—we practice them in ways that feel meaningful and natural to your child.

We’ve created a mock classroom that simulates the routines, expectations, and structure your child will experience in a real school. That means circle time, clean-up songs, peer interactions, transitions, and even snack breaks are part of our ABA learning flow!

📚 Learning the School Day—One Routine at a Time

At our center, children get comfortable with:

  • Sitting in a group

  • Taking turns

  • Listening to simple instructions

  • Raising hands (or signaling with visuals!)

  • Following a visual schedule

  • Transitioning between tasks

  • Participating in structured and unstructured learning

We believe these aren’t just “school skills”—they’re life skills, and we introduce them with compassion, flexibility, and lots of reinforcement (a.k.a. joy!).

🤝 Social Butterflies in Training

School is social—and for many of our learners, social interactions can feel like rocket science. That’s why we create safe, supported, and natural opportunities to build friendships. From cooperative play to parallel play, from sharing to conflict resolution, we gently coach children through real-time peer engagement in ways that stick.

We also model and reinforce emotional regulation strategies so your child can learn how to say:

  • “I need help.”

  • “I need a break.”

  • “I feel frustrated.”

  • “I’m so proud of myself!”

Because emotional literacy is the foundation of self-advocacy.

💬 Communication & Confidence Go Hand-in-Hand

Whether your child is using words, AAC, signs, or gestures, our team is trained to meet them where they are and build their communication from there. That might look like:

  • Requesting materials

  • Answering WH questions

  • Participating in group greetings

  • Asking for help during tasks

And when those skills grow, so does their confidence.

🎉 Celebrate the Wins (Big and Small)

Our center is a space where every sticker, every high-five, every “look what I did!” moment matters. We celebrate each step on the journey toward school readiness because we know the big picture is made of tiny victories.

And the best part? You’re part of the team. We communicate regularly, share goals and progress, and invite your insights as we walk this road together.

📅 We are OPEN! Our center-based ABA program for children ages 5 and under is enrolling now. Space is limited, and the intake process takes time (insurance authorization, assessments, treatment plan submission), so don’t wait to get started!
